Digital Agenda debate now ‘buffering’
Brussels types applying to go to a European Commission-hosted workshop entitled ‘High Speed Connections’ later this week have been told to manage their expectations.
The blurb for the event lauds the “availability of affordable fast and reliable communications networks” to promote “innovation” and “growth”.
Just not in the commission, it seems.
Free wifi is available at the EU building where the event is taking place, but “the capacity is not designed for simultaneous use of bandwidth-hungry applications, e.g. internet videos by many users,” the organisers warn.
“We kindly ask you not to use applications that require a large bandwidth.”
“If you wish to send an email, please contact Ray on the top floor”
